Recently I was invited to an event evening to showcase the new menu at Black House (The grill on the square) in Leeds. Let's take a look through the menu, the starters options of fluffy smoked haddock fish cakes, delicious cauliflour cheese souffle or torched red pepper houmous are unmistakably great options to begin an delighful meal. With summer on the agenda they have introduced an array of amazing seafood dishes from Loch Duart Seared Salmon, to pan-fried seabass and Stonebass fillet all accompanied beautifully with specifically selected side vegetables and dressings.
If you're more of a steak lover, as ever they have you covered! From the classics; rump, sirloin, fillet and ribeye to the mouth watering Australian Aberdeen Black Angus, and if this is not enough accompanied with chips or mash you have the option to add a prawn skewers, half a lobster or a pork or lamb chop as well as your selected sauce. There is just such an assortment throughout there really is something for everyone to enjoy this summer. Seafood or red meat not for you? Then check out their roasted half chicken with classic chips and gravy, want a lighter option they have a delicious ceaser salad.
Vegetarian or Vegan they are serving a flavoursome glazed aubergine steak with cous cous, houmous and tomatoes or the halloumi and vegetable kebab partnered with cous cous, tortilla and sour cream sauce. If after all this you have room for a dessert and/or more cocktails, take a look at their extensive selection of treats; from cookies & cream cheesecake to pecan tart or maybe you'd prefer to end the night with a warming espresso martini or an old fashioned.
